Nokia has annouced two new additions to its smartphone range in the form of the Nokia E55 and the previously leaked Nokia E75 handsets. Both devices have been unveiled at this morning’s Nokia press briefing at Mobile World Congress that started in Barcelona this morning.
Both devices are S60 smatphones and we’ll a full round-up of both the Nokia E55 and Nokia E75 after the jump…
The Nokia E55 weighs just 98g and is the smallest Nokia Messaging device yet measuring a sprightly 116 x 49 x 9.9mm. Juts because it’s small doesn’t mean it lacks features, as you’ll find MP3 video and even FM radio players as standard. Then there is the 3.2-megapixel camera with flash.
This wouldn’t be a Nokia smartphone without A-GPS support and Nokia Maps 3.0 coming as standard. Nokia has made it easy to setup the email client and even bundles a host of social networking tools with the device, including Contacts on OVI, Windows Live!, Yahoo IM, Facebook, YouTube, so you’ll neever need feel alone again.
The 2.4-inch screen is big enough for email and web browsing, making this a great addition to the range.
The Nokia E75 has been spotted around the web for the last few weeks but now we get to see the device backed by a full spec list. We’ve all seen the QWERTY keyboard in action, making this S60 phone perfect for emailing and getting work done on the move.
However, there is more to this phone that just the keyboard. For starters, the device measures 111.8 x 50 x 14.4mm and weighs 139g. Then there is a 2.4-inch (320 x 240-pixel) screen that supports 16.7 million colours. There is up to 50MB of internal memory space and will support up to 16GB of external storage using a microSD card.
The camera is a standard 3.2-megapixel accepts video recording up to VGA quality. However, it’s the host of tools and Nokia services that come with this phone that will impress users. Once again, A-GPS is fitted as standard and the use of HSDPA and HSUPA means you can download content with the best speeds around.
We’ve no details on pricing or availability at this stage, but we’re expecting a summer launch for both the Nokia E55 and the Nokia E75 devices.
